2025 Gift Guide

Stumped on what to get that endurance athlete in your life? What can you possibly buy for the person that “has everything” and if they want it will just buy it? It’s tough. Believe me. But there are still a few things that every athlete needs…or doesn’t know they need.

For the Person that Loses Everything

Do you live with an athlete that is always missing one sock? Then these gift ideas are for you!

  • Socks (yeah obvious I know). My favorite brands are Feetures and Stance. They have style, function, and a lot of length options.

    • Stance Socks: My personal favorite are the Light Performance Crew length socks.

    • Feetures Socks: My personal favorite are the Light Mini Crew length socks. I’ll take one pair in every design please!

  • Gloves. It’s the time of year where gloves are a must for most of us. Whether you run or cycle, or both, a good pair of gloves makes the run or ride that much more enjoyable.

    • Handup Gloves (cycling favorite): They make gloves for every season - vented for summer, cold weather for winter, and super cold weather for that one crazy cyclist in the family that goes out in the snow!

    • Patagonia Gloves (run favorite): Lightish weight, flexible, and has a touch screen compatible.

  • Sunglasses. The most expensive “where did I put those” phrase you hate to hear lol. But an athlete can never have too many. Different colors for different moods, different lighting, and kit matching. You know? These are some of my favorite brands.

    • Goodr: Performance meets fashion meets reasonable priced.

    • Roka: Performance and non performance options. You have the ability to customize if you’d like and add prescription lenses.

    • Oakley: Same as the Roka - performance, customization, non performance options.

For the Person that Won’t Buy it for Themselves

These gift ideas are athletic in nature, but not necessarily for the swim-bike-run. These are casual options that they won’t spend the money on because they’ve spent it all on bike parts or running shoes!

  • Warm Up or Cool Down Wear. I love a comfy sweatshirt or pants that will keep me warm pre-race or post race or for the travel to a race.

    • Lululemon Faves. Yeah, I’ve embraced it. I’m full on the Lulu train right now. For both guys and girls. Some of my favorite buys:

    • Patagonia Faves. Classic.

    • On Apparel. Trendy. Comfortable. Love it.

      • Tech Hoodie - I have one, but could be persuaded to buy more.

  • Coffee Things. 8 times out of 10 cyclists and triathletes classify themselves as coffee snobs. They need that morning espresso to prep for the session, the post workout latte to go with breakfast, and all the travel essentials to make it on the go. Here’s what I’m loving:

    • Aeropress (XL!) - Aeropress now has a larger size, which means double the caffeine for less time. Yes. Don’t think that is the right size for your athelte? No problem, they have a ton of options that are great.

    • Gift Card - Ok. I know this sounds like a cop out. BUT! If the baristas know your athletes name, then they spend A LOT of money at their fave hangout. So drop in wherever that is and help em out!

    • Fellow Stagg Kettle - I want one so bad. Style. Function. Water heated to the correct temp every time.

For the Techie

Now, chances are they may already have some of these things. But just in case, here is what I am loving (or have on my own wishlist):

  • Kickr Run - Okay don’t laugh. Yes, this is the gift if money is no option and your athlete spends a lot of time on a treadmill. Life is significantly more pleasant running on this than any other treadmill. Functional for a high performing athlete.

  • Kickr - Also pricey. But for the cyclist in your life. It makes indoor training ten times better.

  • Coros Pace 3 run watch: I have heard absolutely great things about this Garmin and Wahoo alternative. Accurate. Cheaper.

  • CORE Body Temp Sensor - has your athlete struggled in hot races? Are they looking for something to enhance their training for next season? One of the few “extras” I think is beneficial is the Core sensor. It can help you stay out of trouble and not overheat.

Not an extensive list, but hope this helps! Have a wonderful holiday season!
